Car Insurance Mobile-only New Product

Overview
The VP Product Director of the Global Insurance Company had a mandate to create a new product to target Gen Z and Gen Y customers: a new, fully mobile-only experience.
What I’ve done
1.Desktop Research and Design Strategy: Targeting young generations
- Analysed the existing project documentation, including a competitive market study and a high-level targeted customer group study.
- Desktop research to understand the target customers better, analyse their needs
- Identify the design principles on which the design was based.
- Added a comparative competitive design analysis based on those principles.






2. Innovation: End to end User Journeys and Mobile-only Prototyping
- Presented the research and analysis results to the client stakeholders, and shared the design strategy
- Designed the end to end user journey covering the two different scenarios (starting from a Price Comparison website or directly on the newCo. Website) with all possible options depending on users choices
- Designed wireframes creating web components to reuse through the journey
- Created the tappable prototype for each step of the journey, with a particular focus on content design (length and tone) considering the specific target audience
- Documented and handover UI Designers and development team



Conclusions
Following the design phase, the insurance company development team has been provided of all information to develop and finally launch the new product.
